A pool fence is the one part of a backyard the council will inspect. So it has to be right.
Ours are frameless glass, engineered to clause F9: 1200 mm high, no climbable gaps, and a gate that closes and latches on its own. Every time.
We install across Auckland on concrete, tiles, pavers and timber decks. 12 mm toughened glass on spigots or in a channel. Polished, satin or black stainless, or a powder-coated channel in any colour.

How high does a pool fence have to be in New Zealand?
1200 mm minimum, measured from the ground on the outside. Anything a child could climb, a planter, a pump, a low wall, must be kept clear of the fence.
What are the rules for a pool gate?
It must open away from the pool, close by itself from any open position, and latch by itself, with the release out of reach of a young child. Gates are why most pool fences fail inspection, so ours are hung and adjusted on site.
Can the house be part of the pool barrier?
Sometimes, if the doors and windows onto the pool area meet F9. Worth a conversation before you design, because a fence that ties into the house needs the right end fixing.
Does a glass pool fence need consent?
A new pool barrier is part of the pool consent, and councils inspect it before use and every three years after. We supply the PS1 for the fence.
What does a glass pool fence cost?
